These videos are constructed not only to give you a glimpse into the
style and capability of the presenters but also include comments quoted
from feedback forms collected at the workshop. This is to allow them
to take on the form of peer review to help you decide whether the PD you
wish to attend is worth the money and time you will be putting into it.
I certainly know what an inservice can feel like. We go and listen to a lecture style presentation, learn a lot, have some new strategies to apply to our teaching but we walk out feeling like we have been to work. Being a teacher myself I know how this can be. I appreciate the presenter and their wisdom to the full but I sometimes resent sitting in a chair for up to 6 and a half hours taking notes.

Recognising this in myself I don't think it's fair that I would put local CRTs through a similar experience! To this end, we put a lot of effort into searching out presenters who will deliver their information through a Workshop style event and provide an enjoyable atmosphere as well as deliver us the benefit of their experience and wisdom.
We thought we would show our appreciation to these presenters by celebrating them with their own page! At the same time we also hope that through this others wishing to use them as presenters, or considering attending one of their workshops, can see the high quality they will be receiving.
Sue King
"Positive Partnerships" - Autism - October 2011
Comments; Sue King has an up-beat presentation style and knows exactly how to get her point across to those attending her Workshops. She is animated, entertaining, empathetic and, best of all, really understands how to transfer her knowledge to the people she is presenting to! We could not have hoped to find a better presenter on ASD. As you can tell from the video the feedback from those attending was unanimously positive.
Sue is straight forward and business-like during the organization of a PD and is easy for organizers to work with. She was able to tailor the content of the workshop to specifically target a room full of CRTs, rather than her usual audience of full-time teachers and aides, keeping everything totally relevant to the audience. She kept those attending the workshop engaged and enthusiastic from start to finish and all attending walked away happy and more knowledgable about ASD. The Wodonga CRT Support Network does not hesitation in recommending her as a presenter for any relevant audience.
Michael Ymer
"Hands on Maths" May 2011
"Hands on Maths" and the National Curriculum March 2012
Michael Ymer is an experienced presenter and an experienced mathematics teacher/consultant who has been involved in numerous Victorian state initiatives in mathematics.
Comments; Michael is able to grip those attending a workshop and hold their attention the whole time. His approach is subdued when it should be, animated when it's called for and he moves himself easily into the thick of the action for demonstrations in a "fishbowl". He not only demonstrates Mathematics activities but also has excellent advice on basic teaching techniques of marvelous benefit when teaching any area of study. Again, the feedback on Michael was unanimously positive as the feedback from those attending shows.
Michael is very easy to work with and comes prepared for anything! He is able to empart his wisdom with a smoothness that almost washes over those in attendance keeping them engaged in everything that is going on. It is a rare sight to see teachers totally engrossed in book and pen exercises, reluctant to let them go when the time is up, but Michael manages this effortlessly. The activities requiring dice, counters and other props were equally as amazing to watch. We do not hesitate to recommend him for any, and in fact all, relevant audiences.
Peter "Captain Pete" Klein
"Creativity Knows No Boundaries" - Literacy & Music - 2012
Captain Pete (Peter Klein) lives in the sleepy hillside village of Bethanga on a small hobby farm with his wife Narelle and daughter Isabella. They share their home with a happy cluster of farmyard animals including: horses, chickens, an alpaca, sheep, goat, cat and dog. Pete has performed as a bush poet and a musician in the Albury-Wodonga area for over thirty years.
He is an award winning songwriter/poet and is currently teaching Creative Music at Belvoir Special School. Pete also visits schools as a performer where he shares his enthusiastic creative skills with teachers, parents and students!
Pete is a happy and enthusiastic presenter who brings his own brand of learning, fun and enjoyment to his workshops. He is a captivating speaker, animated in his approach and able to deliver his knowledge in a hands-on and boisterous way. He is easy to work with and we recommend him to any group looking to broaden the scope of Literacy whether it be for Teachers or Students.
Due to requests from people wanting to know more about these presenters, videos after this point will NOT include presenter feedback. We aren't taking our feedback away! Far from it, we are working on a new standardized form including more information than we put on this page. These feedback forms will be hosted in a public folder on our Skydrive. Please be patient! We sometimes get a lot on our plate and it might be a few weeks before we can get to it, but rest assured more in-depth feedback is coming.
In the mean time please feel free to keep emailing for presenter feedback!
